Survey Suggests 4 out of 5 People Want a Tablet Instead of a Laptop for the Holidays

It’s the third time PriceGrabber have surveyed for winter holiday shopping to what most of the people have on their wishlist. The results are already out, ready your pencil and eraser to correct your shopping lists accordingly.

It wasn’t a big surprise that the most popular holiday present most of the shoppers are eying for was the tablet computers but most interesting to know that the ultimate “79% of all respondents would much rather get a tablet instead of a laptop as a gift.” When the respondents were asked for the reasons why they choose the tablets instead, “85% of the people favored tablets due to their portability while 73% liked them because of their light weight.” It was also convenient and features easy to use touchscreens.

In the end it was iPad 2 leading the charts of most-wished tablet according to the survey with “83% of them preferred Apple’s slate, while the Amazon Kindle Fire and the Samsung GALAXY Tab got 5% and 4% respectively. Other tablets such as the Motorola XOOM or the BlackBerry PlayBook scored below 2%.” So basically right now, you can correct your list if you’ll be buying a tablet for your love one, the better choice could be a new iPad 2 as most of people wants them.
